Ordering Tiles
Ordering Tiles
The tiles come direct from the manufacturers in Spain to your address, We do not have a warehouse in the U.K. so the tiles cannot be collected from us.
These tiles weigh around 45kgs a square metre so 20m2 would only go onto a large van or lorry. By paying our low delivery prices will save you alot of inconvenience.
What is the minimum amount I can order?
Because the tiles come direct from the manufacturers in Spain, The minimum order size is 20m2 ( including mixed orders ) you can have any amount over that.
In the near future this may change so please contact me with your requirements.
How long will it take to receive my order?
Delivery takes 3 - 5 working days but please allow upto 14 days for delivery.
Some sizes are made to order, I will advise you at the time of ordering, for these production time is 4 - 6 weeks
For delivery purposes the most we can supply on each pallet is up to 25 square metres of our Traditional tiles and up to 35 square metres of the Rosado, Uniform and Claro range regardless of the size of tile, So if you want a larger quantity it will be on additional pallets.
The pallets are delivered on a lorry with a tail lift (Not a reach arm) so they will leave the pallets as close to the delivery point as they can i.e. reverse up a drive or leave on the front of the house. If they wheel the pallets along, they need a flat surface and cannot wheel along a gravel driveway. Please have any helpers with you. The delivery company calls before delivery and I give you the company details before they attempt delivery.
What is the best way to order?

Can I order now to secure my order for a later delivery date?
Yes, You can place an order anytime for a future delivery date whether it's weeks or months in advance. A small 10% deposit will secure your order.
Using Terracotta Tiles
Can I use terracotta tiles outdoors?
Yes, To use our Traditional range outside they must be laid on a good solid screed or mortar base and sealed with our Mattstone sealer or similar. They are not guaranteed frost proof but have a very high frost resistance and have been widely used by past customers for outside use.
Our Rosado, Uniform and Claro range are available in the Plus range which is guaranteed frostproof, Please note the final sealer needs to be applied during laying to protect against stains and frost.
Do terracotta tiles need sealing?
Yes, With all terracotta tiles they need sealing for interior and exterior use. We sell all the sealers you will need which are easily applied with brush or roller.
How do I achieve a Light finish or a darker antique look?
For a light finish you need to seal the tiles with a clear wax, you can choose a Matt, Satin or Gloss finish.
To achieve an antique darker finish you can use boiled linseed oil which darkens the terracotta with either a clear wax or an antique wax to darken further. See our Sealing & Maintenance page for more info
