About the Traditional range
Our Traditional handmade terracotta tiles are produced using time-honoured methods, resulting in tiles with natural variation in tone, texture and surface character. Each tile is individually formed and fired, creating subtle differences that give floors and walls a distinctive, authentic appearance.
This traditional process produces a softer, more organic finish than machine-made alternatives, making these tiles particularly well suited to period properties, country kitchens, living spaces and interiors where warmth and character are essential.
Finish, sealing & suitability
Traditional terracotta tiles require sealing to protect the surface and enhance their natural colour. We supply a complete range of terracotta sealers, oils and waxes, suitable for different finishes and levels of sheen. These treatments are straightforward to apply and allow you to control the final look, from a soft, muted appearance to a richer, deeper tone.
This range is primarily recommended for interior use, including kitchens, living areas and hallways. Smaller formats may also be used for wall applications, helping create continuity between floors and walls.
It's been widely used and is suitable for exterior use in sheltered areas using exterior sealers.
Terracotta tiles require sealing for interior use.
